    COMUNICATION

    As Red C has no reception, communication with our team via WhatsApp is vital for smooth check-in and so we can provide support during your holiday in Dahab.

    WIFI

    If the internet is interrupted or you cannot connect please follow these step:

    1. Try another network – Red C 7 is often the best and can be accessed by the front seating area.
    2. Try another device.
    3. Turn off the “wifi” in your device setting, wait 30 seconds and try reconnecting
    4. In your device settings, “forget the network” and try to reconnect.
    5. Unplug the power cable from the router in your accommodation, wait 1 minute and plug it back in. Please don’t repeat this step more than once every three days.

    If the connection has not returned after one hour, please let us know via WhatsApp or ask Rio. We will endeavour to get our technician round.

    We thank you for your understanding that the internet in Dahab is often unstable and/or slow.

    NO SMOKING

    All of our accommodation is NON-SMOKING, please smoke outside & use the ashtrays provided. The Management will apply a fine of 100 Euro if you smoke inside your accommodation.

    AIR CONDITIONING AND TOILETS:

    PLEASE SWITCH A/C OFF WHEN YOU GO OUT. Help us save electricity and look after the environment. Please understand we reserve the right to enter your apartment to switch your A/C off if you are out and have forgotten.

    DO NOT put loo paper in the toilet, please use the bins provided. Dahab’s infrastructure can’t handle it!

    Oven OVEN

    Use the provided lighter to light the burners and oven. This video will give you a general idea of use.

    KEYS & SECURITY

    Your apartment key is in the back of the door. There is a main gate security camera, and a government operated security camera on the street corner.

    SAFE

    Press & hold the button on the back upper corner on the inside of the door. Then key in a 3-digit number of your choice followed by ‘A’ to set your code; to open safe, key in your code then ‘A’. Please ask us for help if you need it.

    POOL & SAUNA

    Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Please use plastic glasses round the pool and please tell us if you break glass asap. The pool is open between 08:30 and 21:30.

    THE ATMOSPHERE

    Red C Villas is a small, intimate compound. Your behaviour can have an adverse effect on other guests if care is not taken. MUSIC IS NOT ALLOWED AROUND THE POOL.

    Please consider other guests and keep all noise to a minimum after 21:30.

    Please ask permission before inviting more than two outside guests.

    RUBBISH

    Please put full rubbish bags in the metal bin across the road that runs along the left-hand side of the complex, this avoids attracting stray cats. Extra bin bags can be found in the Extra Supplies Cupboard.

    TOWELS, LINEN, LAUNDRY & CLEANING

    There is a shared washing machine in the cupboard under the stairs to the left-hand apartment. We advise you to wash towels separate from your clothes. There is a washing line behind the left-hand villa at the back of the compound. Cleaning Equipment & Extra Supplies are in the marked cupboard opposite the washing machine.

    Extra Cleaning, fresh towels and sheets are chargeable and MUST be organised by Dom or Stephen NOT Rio.

    Please give us a 24-hour notice if you want an additional clean: the cost is €20 Studio/€25 Apartment / €35 Villa. Fresh towels are €5 per bedroom. The management reserves the right to charge and extra cleaning fee if your accommodation is in an unacceptable state at check-out.

    WATER & FOOD

    Don’t drink the tap water. We’ve supplied you with complimentary water to start you off. The local shopping area is in El Asshala, a few mins drive away. Please ask us for assistance & advice if you need it. We can supply you with a water dispenser refill for €7. (For apartments and villas).

    Take away in Dahab TAKE AWAY

    Dahab Delivery can deliver food and basic groceries. They have a relationship with a number of restaurants so will pick up and deliver takeaway food. They can take a while though – Expect 45 mins or over!

    The cost is currently about 1 € per delivery.

    Tell them to call your phone when they get to the front gate. Please be aware, most of the time, what’s app voice calls don’t work in Egypt.

    Dahab taxi TAXIS

    The best way to get around is by TAXI (local jeeps and pick-ups) which can be hailed outside Red C 20-30 EGP for “Assalah” (shopping) / 30-40 EGP for “Lighthouse” (restaurants & Bars). They can be used for shopping trips and visits to Masbat Bay. Have the correct change.

    Rio can also help with taxis and bikes. BIKES are fun during cool times of year, but pricey for short period and when compared to taxis.

    A google map to help you if you are missing anything: shops nearby sell toiletries, food and other items to kit out your home in Dahab. There’s also a yummy bakery!

    MAINTENANCE

    If there is a problem with your accommodation at check-in or at any point, we will do our best to remedy it as soon as possible. Please contact Rio, the maintenance manager, Phone or WhatsApp or speak to a member of his family during working hours 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Saturday (emergencies only after 10:00 pm) so we can resolve any issues promptly.

    Rio is happy to help with anything, but if you ask him for a specific favour we would expect that Rio is tipped for extra services.
