MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR DAYS…
There are plenty of activities to fill your days in Dahab, both in and out of the water.
We use our knowledge and contacts to organise almost any activity you choose, just ask.
Here are a few ideas we think you might enjoy.
SEA
Snorkelling, kite-surfing, windsurfing – come on in, the water’s lovely.
Snorkelling
Snorkelling is one of the easiest and most relaxing ways to experience life underwater. Dahab is unique for it’s crystal clear, warm waters and diversity of marine life.
Choose between the Blue Hole, the Southern Oasis or a boat to the remote Gabr el Bint, where you will be able to enjoy some of the most stunning and unspoilt reefs in the Sinai.
Dahab is world-renowned for its windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Reliable winds (about 270 days of wind a year) provide superb conditions inside Dahab’s lagoon. Further away from shore, wavy conditions combine with strong winds to provide challenging conditions for the more experienced. We can recommend the best of the surf centres in Dahab.

LAND
Explore the beautiful Sinai desert by camel or quad bike, or just relax under the stars.
The Southern Sinai is a barren but beautiful mountainous desert and no trip is complete without going there. We can offer you anything from dinner under the stars to a desert safari. Visit oases, ancient Bedouin settlements and wind-sculpted canyons.
Dinner under the stars
As the sun dips below the mountains, you will be picked up from RED C by Jeep. Take a short trip up a wadi (by camel, if you like) to your dinner in the mountains above Dahab. Sit on rugs and cushions around a glowing campfire and sip tea while you await a feast cooked by our Bedouin friends. Take your own beer and wine and relax under the stars.
Day or Overnight Desert Safaris
Your guide and driver will pick you up at Red C in a 4×4 and take you into the stark and beautiful desert. Visit the ancient tombs at Nowamis. Climb down into the White Canyon and trek through the silent, awe-inspiring landscape to Ein Hudra Oasis, where you can have tea and a meal with the Bedouin of this area. Go for an adventurous hike into the Closed Canyon, which is one of our favorites, or visit the Colored Canyon for a more relaxed stroll through beautiful rock formations. Whether you choose a day trip or stay overnight, our guides will ensure your desert experience is unforgettable.
Quad biking
Red C offers a personalised quad-biking trip. Take a whole afternoon to get to know your bike and explore the desert with your private guide.
Bike rental and camel rides
We can make suggestions about bike rental or get one of our Bedouin friends to bring a camel to the front door and take you into the desert or along the beach.
RELAX
Melt away stress with a massage by the RED C pool.
Massage and sauna
Our masseurs have magic hands to melt away the stresses of everyday life – and they’re experts when it comes to unknotting the backs of weary travellers. Pop into the sauna before your massage to enhance your experience.
TRY IT!
Experience life Dahab-style – and take home some traveller’s tales.
There’s lots of fun to be had in Dahab, so be sure to get out and about. Here’s your checklist!
- Try some local food. Falafel sandwiches and koshary are our favorites.
- Try some molokhiya (Jew’s mallow).
- Ride in the back of a pick-up truck … hold on tight!
- Feed a camel (but ask the owner’s permission first).
- Have a haggle in the souvenir shops, they’ll try to talk your lingo… “lovely jubbly”.
- Buy a keffiyeh (Bedouin head scarf) as a souvenir.
- See how many sugars you can fit in a pot of tea… the locals love their tea sweet.
- Get your hands washed with lemon at a beach restaurant.
- Have a shisha pipe at a beach restaurant – but don’t smoke a Cleopatra cigarette.
A google map to help you if you are missing anything: shops nearby sell toiletries, food and other items to kit out your home in Dahab. There’s also a yummy bakery!
We dearly needed a week away from cold Europe, filled with some serious adventures. We could not have hoped for a better hosts than Steve and Summer, who not only provided amazing accommodation in their pristine villas, but also, with eagerness and competence, arrange a fantastic feast of experiences for us and our two boys of 7 and 9:
The first bubblemaker dives for the eldest, snorkeling into the Blue Hole for the whole family, genuine rock climbing with skilled well-equipped guide, sandboarding down giant dunes, delicious Bedouin dinner deep in the desert under a virtual haze of stars, a tough scramble up Mount Sinai and much more.
Steve enthusiastically made sure that we were housed and hosted with great care and that every second counted during our time there. We cannot wait to return next winter and yet again enjoy an active home away from home.
