    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Red C is your home in Dahab. We offer self-catering holiday accommodation with kitchenettes in the studios and fully equipped kitchens in our apartments and villas.
    There is NO restaurant on site or daily cleaning service. Each guest is provided with a towel for the bathroom and a pool towel. Please bring your own shampoos and body wash as toiletries are not supplied.
    Rather than a hotel, see Red C as ‘Airbnb plus’ accommodation, that has the benefit of a shared pool and Rio, our maintenance manager, being present between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday – Saturday.

    Reservations, Bookings, & Deposits

    Once we have agreed a quote for your stay your Enquiry becomes a Reservation. Reservations will be held provisionally for seven days from the date of offer, during which time a deposit of 30% of the total charge must be paid to secure your Booking.

    A deposit of 50% is often required for holiday periods. If you reserve 10 days or less before your arrival date, you have 48 hours to pay your deposit.

    We quote in euros. Locals can request a quote in EGP up to 14 days before arrival.

    GUEST ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ONLINE AND BANK TRANSFER FEES (International fees can be over €30 / Paypal can charge over 5%). Please see the ‘payment’ section below for our suggestions to decrease banking fees.

    Due to inflationary pressure, we are only able to honor our published web rates for enquiries no more than six months before of date of arrival. We reserve the right to give a price range for a quotes beyond this period.

    At management’s discretion locals, residents and groups may receive a preferential rate quoted in EGP at some times of year. Discounts are not available during holiday periods.

    Please inquire about our policies for whole complex bookings.

    Cancellation

    If you cancel, your deposit is fully refundable minus transfer fees up to 42 days before arrival. It may take up to 14 days to receive your returned deposit. If you cancel 41 days or less before arrival the deposit will not be refunded. A partial refund may be possible for bookings up to 14 days before arrival at the management’s discretion.

    Payment of Balance

    We aim to send you an invoice via WhatsApp within the first few days of your stay. We’d greatly appreciate the balance of payment in full no later than the day before your departure. If you would like to pay earlier in your stay, just let us know.

    For locals’ discounted rates quoted in EGP, we require at least 50% to be paid in EGP cash.

    Payment Policies & Methods

    We use the daily rate on xe.com to make any necessary currency conversions.

    CASH

    We prefer payment of balance in CASH.

    We accept: Euros, Egyptian Pounds (EGP), Sterling, and USD

    ATMs are available in Dahab if you need to withdraw money from your account. Some ATMs such as National Bank of Egypt ATM exchange foreign currency (Sterling, Euros and USD) and there are banks open from Sun-Thursday.

    We use xe.com to make conversions to the quoted currency.

    BANK and ONLINE TRANSFERS

    Local: Bank transfers to CIB or NBE within Egypt to our Egyptian bank account are possible for local guests.

    GUEST ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRANSFER FEES

    International: To reduce international banking fees, we recommend using Wise.com, a service that substantially lowers international transfer fees and provides good exchange rates.

    Use this promotional link to set up an account and send payment directly to us. Here’s some tips on setting up a wise.com account.

    Paypal is often a more expensive option than Wise. Please be aware that we don’t accept ‘friends and family’ payment via PayPal.

    If you send us money in a currency other than the quote we will convert it using a wise.com or xe.com rate on the date received and credit this to your invoice.

    CREDIT CARDS

    We can accept payment of balance by credit card machine in person. We are unable to accept debit cards. All card payments carry a 3.5% charge and a mandatory notice of 24 hours is required for all credit card payments.

    Check-in & Check-out

    Check-in

    Our check in times are 15:00 – 22:00. Red C Villas DOES NOT operate a reception. Please communicate with us via WhatsApp to arrange your check-in.

    EARLY CHECK-INs

    NO ARRIVALS are possible BEFORE 08:30. If you would like to arrive earlier than 08:30 please contact us to book an extra night.

    If you would like an early check-in between 08:30 – 12:00, please let us know and we will do our best based on availability. An extra fee of 30% of your per nightly rate for an early check in maybe charged at the discretion of the management. You are welcome to leave your bags with us while we prepare your accommodation.

    Between 12:00 – 15:00, we will do our best to get you into your unit ASAP, BUT PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT EARLY CHECK IN as this increases the stress on our staff.

    Please send us copies of your ID for our records via WhatsApp no later than 24 hours after your arrival.

    Please let us know your arrival time at least 24 hours before arrival so that a member of our guest relations team can welcome you and give you keys to your accommodation.

    LATE CHECK-INs

    Late check-ins after 22:00 are possible if:

    • You book a transfer with us
    • You pre-arranged a time, an extra fee may apply.

    Airport Transfers

    Contact us via WhatsApp OR email to arrange transfers to and from Sharm Airport. Our driver will meet you outside the terminal building and will be holding a sign with your name on it. We will invoice you for the transfer so there is no need to pay the driver.

    We need your full flight details and 36 hours notice; and a copy of your passport / ID sent to our WhatsApp 24 hours before arrival.

    Please organize your transfer back to the airport with Dom or Stephen, even if you’ve already told us about it when you booked your holiday. They will make the arrangements with the drivers.

    Check-out

    Our check-out time is 11:00. Depending on availability and management discretion, it may be possible for you to check out later. Check-out times later than 14:00 are chargeable. The management reserves the right to charge and extra cleaning fee if your accommodation is in an unacceptable state at check-out.

    If you need help with your bags, just let Rio know what time you are leaving. Please ensure you have not packed any A/C remotes or anything we have lent you! Leave the key in the back of the door.

    Facilities T&Cs

    Children

    Children under five years may stay free of charge when using existing beds (sleeping in the same bed as the parents). Two maximum per 3-bedroom villa, and one maximum per 2-bedroom villa or apartment.

    Baby cots suitable for children less than 18 months old are available, but please book in advance. Please note there is NO SPACE in the studios for a cot.

    Please tell us about your children under five and babies at time of booking.

    Children ages 6 and above are counted toward the maximum guest occupancy in a unit.

    Extra Beds

    An extra person can be added to some apartments for a charge. Towels and bed linen will be provided. You must request this at time of booking as there is limited availability.

    Pets

    Regrettably, pets are no longer allowed at Red C Villas.

    Cleaning

    We offer you a ‘home in Dahab’ there is NO CLEANING SERVICE.
    If you want your accommodation cleaned during your stay, this can be arranged for an extra charge: €20 for studios, €25 for apartments or €35 for Villas. Please book a minimum 24 hours in advance and we will see if we can accommodate your request based on staff workload.

    There is a washing machine if you need to clean your sheets and towels during your stay. A fresh set of towels can be supplied for an extra charge of €7 per bedroom. A fresh set of bed linen can also be provided for €7 per bedroom.

    THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHARGE THE ABOVE CLEANING FEES if we decide your accommodation is left in an unacceptable state at check-out.

    Smoking

    ALL OF OUR ACCOMMODATION UNITS ARE NON-SMOKING. Please smoke on the balconies, patios, and around the pool. A FINE OF €150 WILL BE CHARGED FOR SMOKING INSIDE.

    Noise

    Red C is a small intimate complex, care needs to be taken to ensure all guests’ quiet enjoyment of their stay. MUSIC IS NOT ALLOWED AROUND THE POOL.

    Please remember that we frequently host families with small children. We politely ask that noise is kept to a minimum after 22:00.

    If your music or entertainment in any area of our complex, including your accommodation, affects the enjoyment of other guests, management reserves the right to ask your turn music off and move inside.

    Air conditioning

    Please help us look after the environment and turn off air-con units in rooms you are not using and all units during the day when you go out. Management reserves the right to enter your unit to turn off air cons that have been left on.

    The pool

    Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note our studios are right next to the pool. PLEASE DRINK FROM PLASTIC GLASSES (if you need more please ask) and cans around the pool. If you break a glass around the pool, tell us. We reserve the right to open the pool at 08:30 and close it at 21:30. There is no lifeguard, so stay safe.

    The sauna

    Please read the sign posted by the door to the sauna carefully.

    Please ask us if you need further instructions for use. If you switch the sauna on please ensure YOU SWITCH IT OFF! – or you might be asked to help with payment of the electric bill.

    The sauna is closed from mid-May until mid-October.

    Divers: please pay special attention, as sauna use may predispose you to DCS. Please ask management if you wish to use the sauna after 8:00 pm. Obviously, only water should be poured on the sauna stones.

    Outside guests

    One or two guests is fine, but if you want to bring more, please get permission from management first.

    Safety and security

    Please look after your valuables and use the safe in your accommodation. If you need to make a police report to help with holiday insurance claims, please let us know.

    WiFi

    Internet in el Asshala is rather unstable and often weak as the infrastructure is basic and poorly maintained. We have four lines at Red C (with a number of access points) and have a good technician to help deal with maintain service when possible.

    Though you may experience decent service for your entire stay; unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a stable wifi service. We ask that guests, who require constant internet, to buy a local SIM so mobile data can be used as a backup. SIMs can be bought at Sharm airport (there are kiosks as you leave the arrivals hall) or in Mashraba.

    If the internet is interrupted or you cannot connect please follow these step:

    1. Try another network – Red C 7 is often the best and can be accessed by the front seating area.
    2. Try another device.
    3. Turn off the “wifi” in your device setting, wait 30 seconds and try reconnecting
    4. In your device settings, “forget the network” and try to reconnect.
    5. Unplug the power cable from the router in your unit, wait 1 minute and reconnect. NOT MORE THAN ONCE EVERY 3 DAYS.

    If the connection has not returned after one hour, please let us know via What’s App or ask Rio

    …and finally, our toilet policy

    Due to Dahab’s sewage system, PLEASE DO NOT PUT TOILET PAPER OR ANY PERSONAL PRODUCTS IN THE TOILET. Instead, use the bin provided. Failure to do so could result in a plumbing situation that will majorly affect your enjoyment of your accommodation!
